This is a curated list of my favorite projects, mostly ones written more recently after I’ve “found my voice,” or are generally closer to the standards I set for myself now. I am willing to discuss the other completed six novels and two screenplays, but I don’t consider revising them a priority at this time.

My Novels

Infinity Test - The first novel of my main series. A deconstructive portal fantasy, starring a protagonist who’s less “Chosen Hero,” and more “Ehh, he’ll do.” Turns into an epic that hops across multiple dimensions as the hero attempts to save his new home. The first of a planned ten-book series, though the first also works as a stand-alone novel with a clear climax and resolution.

Current Status - 106k words. Multiple revisions in, the novel is currently actively being queried with literary agents.

The Sea of Cold Stars - Book two of the Infinity Test saga. The power of potentially endless dimensions, known to the protagonists as the Infinity, is turned against them as they face the extremes of heaven, hell, and a universe of monstrosities.

Current Status - Two revisions in; updates to be made into a priority with interest in the first book.

The Battle of All Heroes - Book three of the Infinity Test saga. War has come to Awakening, the hero’s new home. Caught between an ancient evil beyond understanding and a growing enemy empire, the hero has to accept his fate and become not just a hero he didn’t believe he was capable of, but also leadership he was afraid to accept.

Current Status - Two revisions in; updates to be made into a priority with interest in the first book.

Infinity Schism - Book four of the Infinity Test saga. With multi-dimensional factions established in the original trilogy, this book is the start of a middle quadrilogy that explores the greater ramifications of these forces from the perspective of multiple vessels working for each faction. Intended to work as both a part of the ongoing series and a fresh “jumping in” point for new readers.

Current Status - Current ongoing project. About 2/3rds of the way through the first draft, which is expected to be completed by June 2024.

Cozy Space Limbo - An unrelated story completed in 2023. A sci-fi story that explores the horror of a rogue-like universe from the perspective of an unlucky conscript who keeps finding themselves forced into deadly space adventures they are completely unqualified for.

Current Status - Second draft completed. Currently waiting for responses from readers; beta reader reactions have been positive so far.

Succulent Heartbeats - On a world that was once Earth, a necromantic bomb turned every human into a vampire or some other form of undead. Years later, a generation grows up knowing only a post-mortem society, feeding on artificial blood and knowing no other reality. That changed when terrifying monsters from the past returned, wielding mysterious powers they couldn’t understand. Monsters called humans. It’s up to an idealistic vampire and her friends to save her twisted world from the mortals who threaten it. But her resolve is threatened by a human who is decidedly less monstrous than the rest.

Current Status - First draft completed. I have some plans for sequels, with the main protagonist eventually entering the Infinity Test in future sequels.

My Screenplays

The Haywire Period - In a sci-fi universe that operates under cartoon logic, a ten-year-old mad scientist is banished and has to tutor a young combat drone in a world of living robots. She has to choose between the life she wants and the new family she needs while living in a world visually and conceptually different from her. Oh, and the whole thing’s being filmed. Not directly related to the Infinity Test saga, but it takes place in the same collective multiverse and could have connections in future stories.

Current Status - Several revisions in and will need some updates to reflect my current level of writing, but one of my favorite projects with a lot of enthusiasm about its development. Ideally the launching point for a TV series and planned movie sequels.

Sabbatical of the Gods - Taking place in the same universe as The Haywire Period and an adaptation of one of my earlier novels, this tells the story of a goddess who takes an ill-advised vacation and the universe-wide consequences that result, drawing in planet-hopping heroes, evil dolls, a menagerie of gods, the ultimate embodiment of evil, and, of course, the press. A prequel to The Haywire Period connected to its main character.

Current Status - Two revisions in; generally considered to be stronger than the novel I based it on.

Intern of the Damned - A college student ends up stuck in an unpaid internship in Hell itself. He has to survive torment, temptation, and awkward romantic tension with the legions of demons while contemplating the ultimate nature of good, evil, and redemption. Only tangentially related to the Infinity Test saga.

Current Status - Two revisions in. Requires some development in the end of its second act, but has strong characters and humor. Based on a writing prompt that brought my old writing group to hysterics.

Tabletop Rules System

Pieces of Infinity - Taking place in the same storyline as the Infinity Test Saga, Pieces of Infinity explores the years before that story began, when people were seemingly plucked at random from their homes and forced to survive together in dangerous, new dimensions. A system for exploring the differences between people, settings, themes, and universe-defining mechanics and creating a new home out of the unknown.

Current Status - Undergoing heavy revision of an earlier system. Generally the project I’m focusing on in the time between working on the novels.
